Boeing Document No D6 15066 - This is a /4.I'm still going to demo Envolution but I will also demo others at the same time and compare. all have a version of the effect. Thanks so much for your input! You've introduced me to TD and you also made me remember that Izotope is out there. In the native world, Waves, Izotope, Eventide, Native Instruments, etc. As far as UAD FX, those would be the two to compare. That is where the Envolution would be most useful as well. Also occasionally on bass guitar and rhythm guitar.

I use the TD frequently on close mic'd drums and other percussion. all have a version of the effect.īut thanks for the bump on the Envolution, I'm going to have to check it out some more. I mainly choose the TD because it's just so simple to use.īut thanks for the bump on the Envolution, I'm going to have to check it out some more. It is superior as far as transparency and control, but the TD has an analog vibe and has been used on tons of records since the late 90's. The Envolution was totally conceived in the digital world. I use the SPL Transient Designer, which is a similar effect, but not as complex as far as controls. I have the plugin but have not used it much. Basically it's an expander/gate and a compressor with shared controls that control both effects in a way to shape the envelope characteristics of an instrument.
